Alzheimer's Association
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive and debilitating neurological disorder that affects an estimated four million adults. Sigma Kappa raises funds in order to further research to find a cure and to give support to victims and their families. Since 1984, over $300,000 has been raised by Sigma Kappa alumnae and collegiate chapters. Find more on the Alzheimer's Association at http://www.alz.org
Memory Walk
Xi participates in the Alzheimer's Association of Kansas City's Memory Walk. This year's walk is on October 6, in Overland Park. Check out the website at http://www.alz.org/memorywalk/
Rock Chalk Revue
Our chapter women donate service hours to benefit Rock Chalk Revue, the University of Kansas' annual philanthropy that raises approximately $50,000 each year for the Douglas County United Way. Fraternities and sororities pair up to create 20-minute original musicals. The five best shows are presented in the Rock Chalk Revue event in the spring, and awards are presented to the chapters that have contributed the most community service hours.
